Scouting provides many rewarding opportunities for your son to discover the ability to lead, to teach, and to instill confidence in others. For the past 100 years, the Heart of Virginia Council, Boy Scouts of America, has provided programs designed to prepare young people for life!
The success of Scouting in Central Virginia depends on those who support it. That includes the work of adult volunteers, the encouragement of parents, and the financial investments from Friends of Scouting! Your support is needed now more than ever, to provide a quality Scout program to over 12,000 young people in 24 counties and 4 cities across central VA.
Our next pack meeting is on October 26th beginning at 6:30pm at Christ Episcopal Church. This is a Halloween party and scouts (and adults/siblings) are welcome and encouraged to wear costumes. If your child does not want to wear a costume then have him dress as their favorite scout!
Plan for a night of fun!
Planned activities include:
Best Costume Contest;
Best Costume for each Group; Tigers, Wolfs, Bears, Webelos& Siblings – Prizes Awarded
Our Halloween Pack Meeting on Monday, October 24 is going to be awesome!
There will be an optional Halloween costume contest! If you have a Halloween costume and want to participate in the contest, please wear it to the meeting. If you don't have a costume yet, or don't want to participate in the contest, please wear the Class A uniform and come dressed as your favorite Cub Scout.
On top of all of that, we have a magician who is going to entertain us all with magic tricks. This is going to be a treat for all of the kids, including siblings, so please plan on bringing all of your children!
And, of course, we'll be presenting rank badge awards! I hear that we have quite a few scouts who have earned Bobcat.
Happy Holidays to all Pack 788 families. Monday night was incredible seeing so many Scouts earn Rank and Awards. Have a safe Holiday Season, and we will see you in 2018!
