As a reminder, we have a pack / parent meeting on September 26.
This will be a very important parent meeting. All parents are encouraged to attend, as we'll be providing information regarding the 2016-2017 program and registering scouts for the new year.
Due to the current surge and risks associated with COVID, Pack leadership has made the decision to POSTPONE all in-person activities for the month of January. The health and safety of our scouts and scout families is our #1 priority. We feel this decision is best for all of us.
Pack 788 Spring into Summer Picnic, on June 6th at Hanover Wayside Park. There is no charge for this event but we do ask that you bring a can of food or other pantry staple for each person attending. These items will then be donated to FEEDMORE. Summertime is a time of great fun and vacations and family time for many of us but unfortunately there are those children, that now that school is out, don't have access to the breakfast and lunch programs that help them get at least two meals a day during the school year. We would like to help these children get their summer off to a good start by collecting items for the Food Bank during a time when Food Bank donations and collections are at their lowest but need is at the highest.
As part of the picnic we will have what we consider our last Pack meeting of the 2013-2014 Scouting year. Leaders will be recognized for all their hard work and Scouts will graduate to the next rank by receiving their books for next year as well as any additional belt loops and pins that they have earned from the year. Please be sure to get with your den leader and let them know what belt loops and pins have been earned or have not been received. If your Scout attended the Spring Campout, the Map and Compass Belt Loop and Pins and Wildlife Conservation Belt Loop and Pin will be distributed at the picnic as well. The fun starts at 6:30 pm with dinner being served at 6:45 pm.
